Around the Cathedral

The Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa).

Augusto Rosa (1852-1918), famous Portuguese Comedy and drama actor. The bust was installed on the Cathedral square in the year of his death.

From the Cathedral square, I went down via Cruzes da Sé, which runs to the right of the Cathedral. The high blank wall of the monastery, adjacent to the altar of the Cathedral, stretches for a whole block.

On the other side of the street, you can admire the ceramic panels decorating the facades of buildings.

Judging from the images, we can conclude that something similar to the cooperative of private owners described by Ilf and Petrov was located here - where one room was occupied by a locksmith's workshop

and a pharmacy.
